Wherever I am today, I will notice my surroundings, my inner self and affirm that I can grow right where I am.  The search is over.  I have arrived.

“I Can Blossom Wherever I’m Planted”

I may have spent a large portion of my life looking for the right individual, time, or space to actuallybegin my life and experience what it means to be happy. Searching for the perfect tone in life is associated with my childhood belief that the sexual abuse would end if people could simply notice my hurt.

In this depiction, I believed that all the neglect, horror, and pain would vanish leaving me with final contentment by feeling cared for and seemingly “noticed”.  As I continue in my healing, I have gradually grasped the realization that there is no perfect person or place that will subside all my worries.

I will, however, honor the resourceful and optimistic child in me that created this reality of refuge of hope.  Her image helped me to survive the awful reality of abuse.  With more awareness today, I can end my trek.  I’ve discovered that in my life, I need only to seek inside to begin to find peace and gratitude I wholeheartedly deserve and have sought after.

Being exactly where I am and why I am at any given moment is not a simple task, but one that eventually brings balance to prosperity and healing.  As I become more enlightened through the love and acceptance for myself, I will find that in fact to “bloom where I’m planted” aligns the pathway for self-discovery.

I no longer need to seek out geographical cures.  I no longer need to wait one more minute or day.  I will begin my process of healing here in the now.  I can put my roots down in the soil of my own being.
