SPIRITUALITY: HOW TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SPIRITUAL SELF
~REALITY IN
CONSCIOUSNESS
In our modern times, the indwelling spiritual depth of a person is not
yet understood. Nearly all people view the material world and the physical
sense of self to be the only reality. All the while, surrounding and within you,
there is a Spiritual sense of self-elevated by signs and sacred symbols.
“Our physical body, equipped as
it is with senses, is a vehicle adjusted to the laws of life on our
planet. It enables us to find our way in
the outer aspects of life while helping us to realize and put to use our inner
values as well as the knowledge gained on this earth.” (Chakra Handbook p28)
So, what is Spirituality or what does it mean to be a Spiritual Being? Spirituality
is living outside the confinements from the institutionalized thought of self,
including those around you. To be a
multi-dimensional Spiritual being living out your experiences, you will always
check within to access knowledge and wisdom. Possessing a natural sense of self
will lead to accessing the intuitive realms where you are able to
perceive. This Spiritual growth in
knowing will only heighten with the harmonization of your body’s energy
centers, modernly referred to as the “Chakras”.
“The degree to which a person permits to work within him depends on the
degree of consciousness he has attained in the various areas of life
represented by the various chakras, and whether they are blocked by stress and unresolved
experiences. The more consciousness a
person is, the more active and open his chakras will be. Through the chakras,
we can send out healing vibrations as well as conscious or subconscious
messages that influence people, situations and even matter, both in a positive
and in a negative sense. In this
respect, the chakras as receivers of energy vibrations and information
transcending the physical realm. They
are the openings that connect us with the unlimited world of subtle energies. In
order to experience wholeness and the creativity, knowledge, strength, love and
bliss this entails, the chakras have to be open and work together
harmoniously.” (Chakra Handbook p26)
“The Chakras can be of immeasurable help in getting to know yourself,
can guide you in the realization of your inherent potential and enable you to
live a life full of abundance and joy.” (Chakra Handbook p30)
The understandings of each individual Chakra had turned out to be a
simple study. My applied knowledge began from reading a skillfully illustrated
book titled, “The Chakra Handbook”, by Shaila Sharamon and Bodo J. Baginski. It
did bring much enlightenment into my reality from the disillusion of our society,
who has forgotten the natural laws. Civilization has moved away from divine
excellence and has started to focused in on the material components and
distractions in life instead. This, I believe, has separated us from the
oneness of the Divine Creator.
“Our true nature is to be with the power which manifests itself in the
endless array of vibrations and laws, colors and shapes, scents and sounds of
all creation. There is nothing we are
separate from. The innermost core of our
being lives in indivisible unity with the absolute, unchanging, omnipresent
Being we call GOD, that which brought forth and permeates all areas of relative
existence. According to its nature, this
pure, unlimited being is bliss.” (Chakra Handbook p37)
“Our awareness of this unity was lost in that moment in time when we as
individuals began to rely solely on the information reaching out to us through
our physical senses and rational mind, and thereby forgot our divine
origins. A separation seemed to occur,
bringing about a very real experience of fear in its awake. We lost our feeling of inner fulfillment and
security in life and began to seek it.
(Chakra Handbook p37)
In my book The Traditional Modalities for Healing, in Chapter 3, I
discuss the Natural- Divine attachment that lies within you as the highest
source of all things. As opposed to
material or physical things, being Spiritual is to rely on the non-judgmental,
inner-self of the infinite All. The sense of your Higher Selves can neither
judge nor rectify a challenge and/or an enjoyment as good or bad, therefore
only submitting to the lessons in your Spiritual growth. You can recognize an
enlightened individual by the balanced aspects of their Spiritual-self.
